Connecting Flights
HI nswebankers,
I am travelling from Manchester to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Denver. I know I can have my hold baggage transferred from Manchester to Denver. I don't normally travel with cabin baggage but this trip I will have a cabin bag. Once I have gone through security in Manchester can I put my liquids (in a clear plastic bag) into my cabin bag (which I don't need to open during my flight) or will I need to show the liquids again at Frankfurt? I don't want to have to open and close my cabin bag unless absolutely necessary. TIA

In my experience when transferring at any airport, they make you go through the full security checks again (both personal and hand baggage). On one occasion, when I pointed out that I had already been security screened to board the flight, I was given the excuse that there are differing screening procedures at each airport (and therefore I needed to be screened again).
Bear in mind that if you did not purchase your flight to Denver in a single transaction as through ticket, should your flight to Frankfurt be delayed for any reason (and you miss the connecting flight) the airline flying you to Denver has no obligation to get you to Denver and you may be required to buy another ticket.
