Seen the steps taken to stop the spread of the virus. Free masks. But nobody wearing latex gloves. One of the major routes of infections are door handles, escalator rails etc etc.

Hand washing, hand washing and yet more hand washing is one of the best ways to stop the spread of many things. You don’t need to wear gloves.

I don't think they're sure yet, dannyk. From what I've read it is possible to pick it up from door handles if you then rub your eyes or nose. (Though it would get onto door handles in the first place via coughing or sneezing.)

The idea of the masks is that they prevent the virus from being on the hands I guess, this would stop the virus ending up on doorhandles etc.. Also if there are antibacterial stations about that would also eradicate the issue.

If you coughed on your hand or coughed on a latex glove and then touched a door handle then the result is the same. Unless the virus was coming from the hand directly then a latex glove is futile.

It's a airborn virus. It spreads like a cold or flu and it's also airborn.

Unless the virus is oozing out of peoples hands then gloves will make very little difference. The glove will spread the virus just like your hand would.
