Smoked Salmon Trimmings

Bought some smoked salmon trimmings thinking it would be thinly sliced bits but it seems to be in a block (haven’t opened it yet). Should I attempt to slice it thinly (I don’t fancy my chances of success) or chop it up into little chunks? It’s for a smoked salmon and broccoli frittata - it’s this week’s new meal idea that I’m inflicting on them all.
