We are in Calais. Been to Chinese buffet restaurant tonight.
Hovered a bit at the door as it had only just opened and no one else inside. But we braved it and went in. Had a super meal. Quite a few other people came in after us so we felt a bit better.
Not impressed with the hotel we are staying at though. Only two very small tubs of milk on the tray. So small both were needed for one cup of tea.
Asked at reception for some more to be told they don't have anymore milk.
Be interesting to see what happens at breakfast.
Which hotel in Calais, Caran? T.b.h. We've found the best food there to be at the routiere (can't remember what it's called) just off the main drag to the south. Was the meal actually Chinese? I'm surprised 'cos mainly they wave a few spices in the direction of food,
Aren't Ibis wonderful? and then you choose a Chinese(likely Vietnamese restaurant) over a good old-fashioned French bistro...is this cultural diversity or a real French 'vacation'??
The hotel is the Hotel Coquelles. It was called something else before but I can't think what.
The restaurant was Pavillon Delices in Coquelles too.
We have been many times before and had a super meal.
The food is all laid out and you just go and help yourself as many times as you want.
