I'd be careful when doing the exercises as well. I got diagnosed with tennis elbow and got given exercises to do by the physio. I did them as shown and as often as directed. They didn't seem to be making it better, if fact my arm was getting worse so I returned to the doctors. It turned out that the exercises that the physio had given me to do had torn the ligaments and tendons in my elbow. The only thing I could do was rest my arm, no treatment available for it. I wore a strap that helped with the pain but it took 18 months to be pain free.
