that appears true; maybe he is a new form, a radical Conservative?, a red-Conservative? ( oh, the irony) , or maybe Boris, like Blair, will form a new strain, the New Conservative Party.

He is the antithesis of all the Tory party has stood for: such as conserving things, for a start, and putting people and individuals before systems. I don’t think he can survive in his current position for long. At least I certainly hope not.
When the going gets tough he’ll be made a scapegoat, with any luck

Maybe, but 'Agent Dom' would not be the pet nonsense of T3 'Agent Cob' = commie agent, but a fully capitalistic contemporary

He has been the making of Boris Johnson, and he'll probably also be his undoing. It's already becoming a bit of a joke that it seems to be Cummings that's running the country at the moment.

Remember the spitting image sketches where they depicted David Owen with a tiny pipsqueak David Steel in his jacket pocket?

They'd probably do something similar nowadays with Cummings and Boris, with Boris just being a straightforward glove puppet.

There was a cartoon in the Times last week which showed Cummings on Budget day with “his” red box, and a mini Rishi Sunak in his breast pocket.
That film clip of Johnson leading the cabinet in recitation reminded me very much of the “What about the vegetables? - Oh they’ll have the same as me” Spitting Image sketch from the Thatcher era.
