This morning I placed an order online for some athlete's foot cream and had to sign a disclaimer to say I was over 18 - order accepted and confirmed by email, followed shortly by another email telling me they have had to cancel and refund as they are not allowed to sell it to anyone over 60!

At your age, they probably think you'll confuse it with your toothpaste, Lankers. You know it makes sense ;o)

Khandro, I think they let you give blood over a certain age if you’ve donated before. If you’re a newbie, they’ll be worried about how your body will react.
I’m a very youthful ;) 50 (aah!!) and I fainted after I got home from the last session.

Now ordered it through a discount group (which is where I first saw it so googled to find a cheaper price) and nothing mentioned about age - so now waiting to see if it arrives!
paracetamol is one of the safest provided you are careful with dosage.
I got "asked" to stop giving blood when I got to perimenopause and started to faint after every donation. It didn't bother me and they said it was normal and NTWA but it worried the other donors so I was asked to stop.
I think in Khandro's case, they were just being polite.

The truth being that he's lived in Germany so long, he now has Euroblood.
It's all about Brexit ;o)
Last time I was in hossie (well over 60+) was not allowed to use sick bowl to clean my teeth. Don't know she not but after about 3 days was told I had thrush and was given medication for it. Made a bit of a protest and said that it would go away if I was permitted to give teeth a good brush. Eventually I got my way and problem disappeared. But they were prepared to give me almost unlimited medication for thrush but not allow toothpaste. I do have all my own teeth.
I'm over 70 and not any medication. None. Not been to my doctors for years. Drugs and medicines is V-E-R-Y bad for you! Avoid!!!
^^^ not on any medication ^^^
you're a lucky man, Clarion, or else very clean-living. But personally, I like the rattling sound I make as I walk along the street.
You are lucky 10C but with some ailments, the alternative of not taking something can have nasty repercussions.
I don't drink alcohol. In my younger days I was a smoker. Because of that, my medical records show me as a smoker, as it does for anyone who admits to ever having smoked, even if they haven't had a cig for 50 years. If you have ever smoked, you're classed as smoker.
I don't have any health/medical problems because I won't be ill. It's not allowed. It never crosses my mind that I have any problems, healthwise. Because it aint allowed, see?
Having said that ^^, I did have a hip replacement in 2011. That was a big shock, I can tell you, when the doctor said what the problem was. However, it was a minor inconvenience for a few months. I play golf every week now and get about the town without the car. Well, when it's not being used as granddads taxi!
