Storage Radiator Vs Central Heating
Well I have finally done it and bought my first B2L It’s a two bed bungalow - it does have storage radiators and a water boiler in but is central heating a better option?
It’s only small so a small combi boiler will be more than sufficient
It also only has a walk in shower so I intend to replace that with a bath too - preferably a walk in bath

A big mistake people make with B2Ls is they get too emotionally involved. When it's let, it's not "your" home.
Re-tile the shower maybe, but you need no more than a shower for a let.
Walk-in baths are a last resort for particular circumstances. It makes no difference to a let.
Only consider CH if...
You have gas
You're keen to improve for added value.
Storage heaters are fine for letting. It would be lovely to renovate the whole property to the sort of level that you might like, but often, the figures just don't add up.
Concentrate on maintenance, safety, and providing a good service to your tenants.

In the complex where I live, most people are having the large hot water tank and the bath removed, to be replaced with a shower and very small boiler which is not switched on unless needed - for bathing babies and small children perhaps. An electric kettle supplies other normal needs. With a washing machine, why have a large supply of hot water every day?

Many thanks for your answers- it’s quite a tricky one this because although the idea is to rent the house out - I wouldn’t mind moving in myself. I do however have a couple keen to move to the area but - whilst he is ok with a shower - she likes a bath.
Anyway - surveyor will be going next week so we’ll see what he has to say
