L.O.Barastubbs...The battlefield in question may be San Jacinto(mexican v texan) where the U.S.S. Texas is berthed .Commissioned on 12th March 1914 and de -commissioned on 21st April 1948,it served in both wars.The battle was said to have changed the map of North America,and both America and Texas use the term Republic to descibe themselves.
