I went through a phase of looking into this stuff (clairvoyents, spiritualist churches, ouija boards etc).
Found nothing to convince me.
(The 'phase' lasted a few years and I really tried to find something...but didnt)
met a man once, a complete stranger (I believe he played in a jazz band), who took my pulse for a while and told me three things from my past. One was wrong, two were right. I thought that was impressive.
No, I’ll not just say No ( I think that’s very rude to do)
I don’t believe in them but have no problem in anyone looking for something that may bring them comfort though
Tilly, he told me I'd had a car accident, and that I'd had a reaction to anaesthetic during an operation. I can only suppose he was somehow supersensitive enough to detect these from my pulse, but darned if I know how. For all practical purposes, that was supernatural.
Not been to a clairvoyant, but had plenty of convincing evidence from mediums and ouija board. Nothing to do with comfort, just curiosity about reality. Not dabbled for some time now though.
Read up on such things for many years. Met one or two so called clairvoyant’s who were self deluded. Went to spiritualist church about six times, not impressed.
no, and I wouldn't but a close friend of mine went for a tarot reading and the reader said "its not what you are here for but I have a message for you" and told her something that really amazed her. it was a small insignificant detail about a friend of hers who had died....something personal.
I went to a spiritualist church a few times and walked to the bus stop with one lady and she started to tell me stuff that was known only to me and one other person , personal stuff, not general, no way could she have known. So I believe :)
no, it was a reaction afterwards, pixie, I became asthmatic for the first time. He didn't specify that, just said I'd had a bad reaction; but how he could even tell I'd had an operation I don't know. Car accidents do happen but not to enough people to be a safe bet. But the guy wasn't asking for money or anything, so he had nothing invested in being right or wrong.
Have been, for tarot, rubbish
I am better than she was.....
A gypsy was better, started palm then proceeded to tell me stuff that only I knew.
An example... She looked at me a Bit odd (part of the act) and said she was so sorry but something had gone terribly wrong and the three children I should have had were happy and Ellen was looking after them. I had no idea who Helen/ Ellen was but had suffered three very late miscarriages
Until sometime later when I asked an Elderly aunt if she remembered my dad's real mothers name, "Ellen Stride"
She predicted a number of things I am still waiting for husband number three and a move to where we she put it there will be sun and sea and sand...
I have a friend who is very much a believer in clairvoyants whereas I have always been very sceptical about such things. She has organised tea leaf reading and palm reading parties and a visit to a clairvoyant in the past. I went along with it, thinking it could be amusing. However, the clairvoyant told me things that she couldn’t possibly have known about, even using techniques that I’ve read about. So perhaps, I’m not quite as sceptical as I used to be.
