Flight Control On Strike...

We were all ready for take off for our holiday to Costa del Sol from Birmingham, when the captain announced we could be sat here on plane for 2 hours! Aggjhhh! My husband is not a happy person! Flight control decided to go on strike....

The worst thing about these situations is that they change in seconds, and then long periods occur where nothing is happening.
Everyone moans because they don't get information - but the simple fact is, the airline does not have information to give you!
Again, it's in no-one's interest to keep annoyed passengers in the dark and guessing what is going on, but the airlines need to have concrete details to pass on at any time, and they can be changing minute to minute, so they hold off until they have definite info about a flight going, or staying, and then they inform everyone.
I am sure you are a patient soul - in these situations, it's the only thing to be.
