Just Watched A Super Film
11 Answers
Just watched a super film called Captain Fantastic which is still available on iPlayer. Don't have the movie channels so record random films to watch when nothing else appealing is on. If the films are no good then they quite often get deleted after 10 minutes or so but we both loved this one. Assumed it was a Superman/ Avengers type film but was so wrong. It stars Viggo Mortenson who plays the father of six children that he has raised in the wilds where they catch their own food, make their own clothes and are home schooled. Mother has been in a hospital in the city but she dies and the film is about their trip in a beaten-up camper bus to get to her funeral. Sounds miserable but it is laugh out loud in places and well worth a watch.

When I first came across it a couple of years ago, I too thought it was just another silly superhero thing. It's the daft title.
The title actually refers to Elton John's old album "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt cowboy."
Brilliant performances from all, especially the kids.
The eldest boy is George Mackay, who stars in the recent film "1917".
