Another weekend of stormy weather resulting in a rather good meeting at Newbury being abandoned. The ITV7 becomes the ITV5, and we now have the prospect of the coronavirus threatening to play havoc with sport and recreation World wide. I hear that the marathon is off......why didn't they make them run it in bio hazard suits and face masks? I would have paid to see that. Hope that Cheltenham survives the scare. Do horses get the virus? It appears that dogs do. Ahh well we will have to make do with what we have. Really fancied Benny's King in the 3.15 Newbury. Good luck if you have a punt.

Geordie B @7/2 1.50 Doncaster
Dolos @9/2 2.25 Doncaster
Cheddleton @3/1 2.45 Kelso
Yalltari @4/1 3.35 Doncaster

£2.00 win Acca. 50p Doubles and Trebles.

Add Cill Anna in with those for the ITV5.

Morning, Togo. As you say, a good meeting lost to the weather leaving very little to get excited about, imho. I pray to whatever God looks down on horse racing that the Festival is unaffected by either the virus or the weather. Hopefully Saint Eligius of Noyon will be around to sprinkle some of his 'Patron Saint' magic dust over Cheltenham come the 10th March:-)).

ITV5; Blackjack Kentucky, Nuts Well, Clondaw Caitlin, Cill Anna and Worthy Farm. £1 e.w. acca.

2.25 Don; Nuts Well @ 4/1
3.35 Don; Worthy Farm @ 11/4
4.20 Lin; Mr Carbonator @ 13/2
4.45 Don; Stonific @ 7/2

Win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £14, 4 winners = £912.

Best of luck.

Well after a set of runners that were worse than the weather I did Tralee Hills at Linfield and Stonific at Donny. 2 X £2.00 Wins and a £1.00 Double. Good start to that, and my team is winning away. Where there is hope there is indeed chance.

Can handle that.....Nigh on £60 return. I was beginning to think I would never get a touch again. Don't ask about the footie.
Well done, Togo. Just the one winner for me which, while not ensuring a profit, does make a big dent in the losses. And my lot managed to get a point up at Newcastle.

Small mercies are welcome here Ken. We managed to engineer a draw as well after leading for about 80 minutes. Will leave that little windfall where it is in readiness. Thing is when I was having a look this morning. I looked at Lingfield, just a cursory look in case the turf racing went pu stit as an alternative flutter, and besides the one I actually backed, would have had 3 more winners. Doh.
Have you got an eye on the football?
Sorry Togo, only just read your reply to my last. An eye on the football, you ask. Yeah, I had a tenner @ 11/1 on Liverpool winning 3-0. Such is life :-/
No matter what happens between now and the Glorious 10th, I have a bank of £200 solely for the Festival. Whether or not I actually bet £50 per day remains to be seen, but I will not be exceeding that amount. I am beginning to get a tad excited. Roll on the 10th:-)
