Was shopping today and I met an old cousin of a friend of mine.
She told me she would be 90 this July. She was ok using the shopping trolley for support - cos she did have two new hips put in and her daughter was nearby.
Her and I had a good old conversation and she done me the world of good cos I just said to myself - well there ya go. Compos mentis, witty, walking and no spectacles nor hearing aid.
One of my closest friends is 93 in May, still drives (shudder)but only locally and just stopped riding her horse a couple of years ago after her hip replacement. I truly think its having a positive outlook on life, as she has had challenges thrown at her but attacked them head on instead of wallowing in her bad luck.
