Restoring backed up files

Can someone help me please? I have recently had a new hard drive installed on my computer. I wasnt too worried as I have backed up on to floppies. I have windows 98. How do I restore my files please, I have tried but it doesnt seem to work. Can anyone advise me please otherwise I have lost loads of stuff I really need.

Where does it go wrong? Do you get any error message(s)? Which program did you use? Microsoft Backup? Are you using a version now that is perhaps different from the one you used to backup your files? Cheers

The floppy discs might have been destroyed, just like mine where when i left my mobile next to them, if uve had ure mobile next to the floppys then it will just destroy the disc totally, so keep ya mobile away from floppys. if u dont have a mobile then i dunno.

I need more information if I am able to be of help. Is your new hard drive in place of your existing hard drive? If so, what happened to your old one? When you say you have backed up on to floppies, backed up what, exactly?
