Hand Washing Or Not, As It Seems

On a regular basis at work and in public loos, I notice so many people who just walk out after using toilet without washing their hands. Even after the importance of hand-washing is highlighted more than ever now, I noticed someone doing this yesterday at work.

I know I have OCD about hand washing anyway but am I being paranoid and worrying unnessessarily? Maybe I also need to stop watching what other people are doing! Lol

Good tigger. Don’t neglect yourself , nothing wrong in asking for assistance .
my hands r shampooing all day - am off to shampoo another head ;)
I am a sleeve on the door handle person as well and carry handwipes and gel with me. I always do wash my hands after using public loos but then I use a wipe as well. With wipes, you get mechanical removal as well as bactericide/virucide

Exactly, Naomi. Its disgusting, germs are everywhere. Yuck!
oh and just a reminder that dry skin holds bacteria and virusses better than smooth moisturised skin...with the extra washing/gel/wipe use, use extra hand cream/ lotion. This is the advice we were given in NHS infection control.
Happy birthday twice....hrrmp - will lose my tip

I think there is a hand gel with moisturisers. Carex I believe.
indeed tiggs but you should only use gel so many times before handwashing and even the moisturising ones are drying.
ive always said how ridiculous toilets in supermarkets and and cafes that ive used .you wash your hands then have to PULL OPEN the door to get out why aren't these the other way round PULL to open on the way in then PUSH with your foot to get out !
^^^go to the right supermarket! The doors in my local Waitrose do exactly that...release long locking-catch with elbow and push with foot or arm.
ok i should use waitrose gingebee ?, the nearest one for me is 23 miles away morrison / tesco 1/2 mile , so which would you choose,
derek...don't be silly, it was a tongue-in-cheek comment -as you probably knew.
(And, given that choice, I'd still shop at Waitrose).
I never use public toilets for number 2s. Just for urinating. I’ve seen some sights I’d rather forget. People are filthy beasts.
I'm not OCD I just dont like other people.

E.g. yesterday got off the train and nipped to the loo. As I was washing my hands someone came out of another cubicle and went straight out. Fine. Their choice. But then I had to use the door handle (which I did using my coat). Got home, stripped off, straight in shower.
Vagus, but then you have to open anoher door to get out of the sink area and you don't know if other people have actually washed their hands.

Gingebee
So would I if it wasn't for the £10 cost in fuel. :-)
