For ones that don't know, or you haven't thought about it, and its not flying off the self. AND I DON'T NEED IT ALL. :0) Milton baby sterilising fluid. £2.50 per 1l bottle. One capful will sterilise 5L of water. Use it at home still and at moms.

Yes, don't get it on your clobber, but very good and very under estimated, sales of the stuff are not very big these days, with many others on the market.

The smell of bleach makes me feel sick. I use disinfectants like Zoflora, Dettol etc.

I think it’s Sodium Metabisulphide. Use to get the powder from a chemical plant I worked at. Sterilising my beer making bottles years ago.

Used it to sterilise nappies in the 1960s.

Milton contains (as the active sterilizer) sodium hypochlorite...exactly the same as conventional thin or thick household bleach.....but less of it than the bleaches.

While I'm definitely not panicking about Covid-19, my immune system will be very low for the next few months (due to chemotherapy), so it's useful to know of anything that might help to keep things reasonably sterile around me.

I've already bought a thermometer and, even though I don't start chemo until next Thursday, I've already been trying to get myself into the habit of checking my body temperature throughout the day.

@16.59. Your welcome, my better half had chemo and it was a must to keep cups ,plates, knifes and forks, anything one uses, pots pans, I could go on and on, 2 of everything, one in soak, one in use, don't make the mistake of swilling under tap after whatever as been soaked, you may contaminate, just leave to drain and most of the smell of the Milton will disappear.

^There's lots of big plastic containers you can buy as I'm sure you know, from the likes of B&M / B&Q to use as a soaking tank. ( don't get fed up of doing it) well worth the trouble. :0)
