If I Move Someone Previously Homeless Into My House, Will Lots Of Questions Be Asked By The Local Council, As To Where She Lived Previously, To Try And Get Money Out Of Her (Or Me)??

I presume the council will ask for a previous home address? just don't want stinging for trying to do something good!

I'm sure they'll be happy yo take the extra money and won't make you jump through hoops. I'm not sure they will need her previous address unless the info is needed to update the electoral register

If you are the landlord you are never responsible for CT for someone else at another address.
You write with the tenants signature that the Tenant Mr T moved in on date X and T is responsible for CT from that date. ( it is who is in the house on the night, in case you are wondering how the date is decided)
and you are responsible for CT for the period up to then ( the void period)
this is straightforward

Surely if they do ask, then "no fixed address" should suffice - or have I missed something. When changing Council Tax from single to multiple occupancy I didn't think you had to give any more details. That information belongs on the Electoral Roll where it is now the responsibility of each individual (no longer the householder as it used to be).
