Er, OK. But if two of the last three of any species left in the world have been killed, that says extinction to me. Or do you reckon that white giraffes are somehow capable of parthenogenesis?
Jim, the white giraffes weren't a breed, they were a family line that carried an abnormality that destroys skin pigmentation. I guess the male could carry the gene and pass it on to any offspring.
Not that it takes away from the tragedy of the killing of the mother and calf.
