On both Sky and BBC news, they keep talking to so-called “experts” but I’m wondering how anyone can be an expert on such a new virus.
Yesterday, on the BBC’s ask an expert, a woman who is 9 months pregnant was told that there was nothing to worry about, as there are no indications that an unborn baby was at risk.
Wouldn’t it be better to be honest, and just say “I don’t know,” instead of making it up as they go along?
The mother and baby are being treated in separate hospitals, but so far, when it’s been reported that someone has been admitted to hospital, I don’t remember anyone saying what the treatment is.
Does anybody know?
Hopefully, a speedy recovery for both.

/but I’m wondering how anyone can be an expert on such a new virus./
From WHO
"Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV).
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a new strain that was discovered in 2019 and has not been previously identified in humans."
So Coronavirus is not new just this strain and they have had a fair time to analyze it, so there will be experts.
