The licence fee to the >75 year olds put on hold - common sense.
What else could be done to help folk out - utilities at cost perhaps? Local rates cut by a good-sized discount?

I don't think that is common sense. It would make more sense to help the elderly people struggling to afford it. Many are extremely well off.
^ In the current climate, I don`t think the Government have time to means test everybody over 75 and see if they can afford the TV licence.
Boris is going to lock them in their homes to die so it's irrelevant.
Well they might at least give us a free licence to watch it while we die.
scrap it all together...
It does make sense, it’s the least they can do to make life easier in these times of trouble
