Is it too late (end of May) to relocate a rose bush?

I'm the kind of gardener that reads all the books & then I go away and do what I want! It's normally recommended that roses be moved in late autumn or early spring, so if it's a precious rose then I would wait.If you are in a very cold/exposed area spring is best.

What noddy says is correct, however if you really must move it (only as a very last resort), then first, water well, then cut the new growth by about half (including all flower buds) and dig up leaving as large a rootball as possible. Replant straight away and keep well watered for the next few weeks. Don't try this if the weather is hot and sunny or very windy, and don't allow it to flower until the following year.

it is far too late.......they will die don't do it
