I have had heating on for a few hours but have turned it off now. However I have opened all the bedroom windows so that fresh air will get through, but I'm wondering is that safe - am I letting the germs of Coronavirus in per se.

The virus is spread by touching someone or something or breathing in someone's coughs and sneezes. It does not appear to be carried in the air, provided that you aren't close to a sneezer or a cougher.
