Ridiculous Internet Shopping Situation

i book my shopping slots in advance and add to them as im going along. to secure them you have to have £40 worth of shopping in the basket, so i normally hove an expensive bottle of malt in there, with the view to getting rid of it nearer the time and replacing it with groceries.
As ocado's website has been shut over the last few days i have not been able to do this (and in fact don't need anything much either but i am unable to release the slot back into the wild). So i n this time when internet shopping slots are really needed for self isolating people, Ocado are coming all the way out to me to deliver me one bottle of whisky.

I shop every 12/14 days always, the only time I would never need it and need to cancel is if I was hospitalised suddenly or dropped dead. In the latter case the cancellation would of course be done by someone else.

It isn't a panic, never has been.

bednobs - no thanks but thanks for the offer. For many years now we've had a policy of buying things we use in large quantities when they are on a good offer, so we can adopt a "holier-than-thou" attitude to people who panic-buy. We are overrun with toilet rolls (bought in January) and tinned goods but we do have to shop for milk and fresh veg. Fortunately, whilst we are both over 70, we are able to walk to our local supermarket so don't need to rely on anybody for help, although we have had offers.
