I care for my 85yo mother who has several major medical conditions including Parkinson’s Disease. She lives alone so I do shopping for her. Problem is that I don’t have any documentation to prove that I care for her. Is there any way I can access the shopping slots for the elderly? I am also classed as being vulnerable as I have heart problems, diabetes and have had cancer.

I would suggest you have a word with social Services.
try Age UK,

If you need advice or information on money, care or health, call 0800 678 1602. We're open 8am to 7pm, every day of the year
also council for advice, social services should be another port of call

Waterboatman/Emmie. Thank you. Will try both!
Good luck.
Shops very quiet at the moment. Big morrisons yesterday was nearly empty of shoppers.
SK, were the aisles filled, as our local waitrose shop was almost empty..
Lots of empty shelves, got cat food though.
glad that the cats are taken care of.....
Only managed to get 3 bottles of wine for missus. Got another six at Lidl.

I shall be glad when all this madness ends.
Oh yes! Gotta look after the cats first!

In answer to the OP, you will not be ID'd for your age, peachybabe. I was in Tesco yesterday in the pensioners' slot but there were people in there a lot younger than me. There were a few requests over the tannoy to observe the rule, that's all.
If she has a letter from dept of pensions take that.
As most shops are now empty of both shoppers and goods it won't matter what time you go.
Now we have all these new rules, will there still be slots for pensioners at supermarkets, as it seems folk are now only allowed to go out for essentials?
Food is regarded as an essential.
This morning, Waitrose introduced a limit of 40 people in the store at one time....one out, one in. There was a HUGE queue of people standing around the car-park (including over-70s etc).
Yes of course it is fiction, silly question really. I'm all over the place this morning.
