Just been down the road to local Spar for paper and fags. Big board outside saying "Is your visit essential"

NO. I shall stay home and die of boredom.

Yes, Anne, I've always froze milk and bread. The only thing I stocked up on is cereal so people can have a snack without going through the freezer and defrosting stuff. Besides that I've shopped as normal. I haven't panic bought anything.

Anne...it depends how many people live in a house. I have 6 adults, a loaf of bread won't last long, eggs, milk...and then I have a greedy cat who is going through loads of food.
Ummm, your situation is different to a household where maybe only 2 adults . Bread/ milk can be refrigerated for a good few days. Most people have freezers. Each time you leave your home you are at risk .
Anne, Bread and milk are rationed in most shops so no one can go in and buy 7 loaves of bread to freeze for the week. If you have a house full of adults to feed a 'normal' family shop might only last a couple of days.
don't suppose there's a chance that the sign was put there by a competitor?

There are times I'm grateful that bread is something I don't eat, nor do I smoke.
Though I'm preparing to make a loaf that's basically seeds with a bit of porridge oats thrown in.
That'll keep me busy for ages...making and chewing;)
Cigarettes are not essential....this would be a great time to stop.
I saw first hand what they did to Red, and no matter who it is I beg them to stop
// That's not mad. Was your visit really essential? Fags I understand but most news can be got on the internet//

no the news on the internet reads like wall-to-wall AB and he already has that - he wants the proper stuff !
// Each time you leave your home you are at risk .//

er whenever you interact I think
c-virus doesnt go gnit gnit and fly across a garden so you are OK so long there is no one there or even on the street

My nephew had c-virus and DIDN'T give it to the live in gurl - who self isolated for 14 d of course
he passed on the - "what no kissy wissy for 7 d" question -dirty boy!

this really wouldnt happen for measles ( av inf = 12) or chickenpox ( av inf = 7) - The MD who had had chickenpox 29 y ago passed it onto an unprotected worker at work and said - "o god I visited my granddaughter over the week end and SHE has it! " wow !
