I’d have loved being a Land Army girl, out there in the fields , the camaraderie amongst them looked great fun, my question is

No, actually the best way is to acknowledge the answer by making a subtle remark to another member, or just to say what you think briefly. That way, you're letting everyone know what a palaver you can make out of an answer that would have been the same on a thread from you as it would from anyone else with that question.

You don't need to make a simple answer seem like its some malicious attempt to make you upset. I have more important things going on in my day.

I would have chosen to be in the Ministry of Information (or the Ministry of Propaganda if there was one of those). I'd have liked the responsibility of coming up with things such as 'Dig For Victory' and 'Your Country Needs You'.

Bobbisox, nice pic - thanks! I'm sure I'd have been more productive drafting posters, factsheets etc than if I were in charge of turnips in a field. I'm sure there would have been just as much camaraderie in my little office as in a big field!
