Sorry for the break, been making and eating dinner and fielding phone-calls - friends asking me to pick up bits and pieces, so minimising outings. Yes, I could go to Driffield, mamya, but that is a market town, several miles further and likely to be even busier. I try to get to wherever by 9 a.m. for the 'oldies hour'. If the police stop me on the approach to Filey I have now got my proof of residence handy. It's all rather heavy-handed though - a single, grey-haired lady is unlikely to be a holiday roisterer! I'm inclined to challenge any P.C. Plod and refer him to my neighbour (also in N.Y. police). :)

I doubt they are looking out for singletons going shopping, more likely looking out for families or groups heading for a day out.

Oh yeah! After flying to Switzerland and Grant Cayman tomorrow in order to check my off-shore accounts, I'm going to ask my pilot to make a stop in China to buy some face-masks...So there.
