Superman Returns....

I have just come back from seeing this movie.
I was dubious that it would live up to all the hype and the fact that in all of the previews I had seen, I hadn't seen Superman/ Brandon Routh speak, made me worried about his acting ability.
It turns out IMO that he makes a fantastic Superman, who not only looks the part but acts it fabulously but then as a woman I find it hard not to fall in love with Superman (what girl can resist?!!) lol, so I was wondering what is everyone elses opinion?? I LOVED it!

I saw it on Friday and went with no expectations of it being any good and thought that it was GREAT! Only let down was the wooden unsexy Lois Lane (but her husband was a bit of alright! - Is he the same guy from Xmen with the shades?)

Yes that was Cyclops from X men. Not my kinda guy but whatever floats your boat! lol
I agree about Lois Lane... I am sure they could have found someone better if they looked for just an extra 2 mins!!
Kevin Spacey I thought was excellent as usual, made a great Lex Luthor!
The scenes where the inevitable kryptonite came out and Superman goes all weak almost broke my heart!! Hehehe, I am loser!!

it is good they have not just redone the back story on how he became superman and that they have been able to follow on from 1 & 2 and totally ignore 3 & 4. it leaves it so open for a further episode, i wonder how superman would cope as a parent too? is that a future option? Do u also feel that there has been a certain amount of respect shown for the depth of the Smallville series?

The new film is totally awesome. I have only seen 6 times so far but everytime you see things you have missed the other times. I have read the novalisation and it adds a different background to the film. It contains the deleted scenes from the beginning where Superman is going round a broken peice of Krypton thats riddled with Kryptonite. It also lets you know that it was Lex and Stanford who made up the idea of Krypton being there to lure Superman to his death via Kryptonite poisoning.
Also missing is the back story about the relationship between Martha and Ben, moving out of smallville.
