Global condemnation of Chinese wet markets. Enforce if necessary by boycotting Chinese goods.

Markets are where farmers sell their produce.
The Wuhan Market is mainly a seafood market.
Markets are busy places which is why Wuhan market was a hot spot of contagion.
You cannot close markets indefinitely. People need to trade and earn money for their familes.

They do need to trade, but the standards of hygiene need addressing along with the transportingand selling of live animals such as snakes, bats and rodents at these markets.

We might see some policing of these markets for a while, but we need global pressure on China to eliminate the illegal trade that will creep back in. The sale and slaughter of wild animals at these markets will take a culture shift, but must be stopped.
