Bear with me because this is quite complicated to explain....
My sister in law and her ex husband share custody of their two young children. The two children have just spent the weekend with the ex husband and his new partner. The kids have returned home to my sister in law today and the ex husbands partner now has Covid-19 symptoms.
She has gone in to isolation at her home, the ex husband has gone back to his home and as i said the kids have returned home to my sister in laws.
To add to the mix my sister in laws new partner is staying at her house and his two kids are also staying there.
Obviously the ex husbands partner is isolating herself, do the kids who spent the weekend with her need to isolate for 14days and should the sister in law, her partner and his kids all now isolate because they have come in to contact with the kids who spent the weekend with the woman with the symptoms?
I would think, for safety's sake, they should all isolate. The children and ex partner have been in close contact with the new partner who is now showing symptoms.
Thank you, that's what i thought.
They are now thinking if they are all in isolation that it will be ok for the kids to still go between the two houses
To be brutal they shouldn't be travelling about like this (the kids) certainly not for at least 14 days. I know it's difficult and have family members myself who've been stuck apart. Not to you but to those who were read it (another thread), if this is considered OK then so it TTT getting his son from Uni and he got ripped over that. I didn't think any of us were supposed to be travelling to other homes, whether symptomatic or not.
