Watching Coronation Street and Amy had a party which was gatecrashed by a load of uninvited guests ending up with drunk youngsters and stuff getting broken and neighbours upset. Just thinking back to my teenage years when something similar happened and it ended up with our living room window broken and neighbours calling the police - must have been about fourteen at the time. Some things never change.

I was a good girl me :0)
Spent my youth at church youth clubs, and that was early 60s
Things have changed .. these days you invite a few friends. The word goes out with the press of a button. Before you know it 200 teenagers are trying to tear your house apart !
Take me back to my youth my friend,
Stolen kisses and the world was all mine,
For now I am nearer the end,
I'm running out of time.
I too remember, mine was on a Sunday afternoon whilst my parents were at cricket. Things got out of hand, the drinks cabinet raided and neighbours up in arms after someone peed through her letterbox!!
I was grounded for a month.
Ohhhhh happy day's.
Oh I was dreading Tonyav posting about his wild youth! ;-)
Leather on willow on a fine sunny day,
And parents applaud at the game,
But I had a party whilst they were away,
And the house was never the same.

The neighbours were happy until my friend,
Peed through their letterbox to see,
If he could drive their patience to the end,
And see how far he could pee.
I do recall one Sunday morning, Dad asked me why there were road traffic warning lights sat flashing on the front garden wall.

Never found out which party guest planted them there.
The nearest I got to being a wild child was one Bank Holiday Monday, dressed as a Mod ( I was then) and a lot of my Mod type friends hit Whitley Bay, fast forward to the main News early Evening when my Dad was having his dinner, there I was walking across the road to the Spanish City ( fairground) with a jacket emblazoned with the Ban the Bomb logo on the back , on the NATIONAL news
“Mods and Rocker fought running battles upon the
beach at Brighton while these young people were peaceful in the North East” OMG, I thought!!!
My Dad asked where the said jacket was and what was I protesting over.....I wasn’t sure but I knew it was a fashionable thing to do...
Down went his knife and fork and I was told to get the jacket, I did and he carefully folded it as in a shop ( square) and laid it on the open fire !!!
With thd words “When you know what it is you protest about, I will listen “
// end of my Modship//
Sorry , on the main evening news
I must have been good, as we didn`t do anything that when I was 14 - we were too busy pretending to be over 18 and blagging ourselves into the discos, drinking, showing off, flirting and generally acting like 18 year olds (that was in the late 70s) Happy days.
