I Am Speaking To You Today.............

............from the Cabinet Office in 10 Clarion St. At 11 a.m. on the 23rd March, the British Ambassador to Covidia handed them a note saying that unless they withdrew their advance accross Europe, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you now that no such undertaking was received, and consequently, this country is at war with Covidia.
But don't worry, we're going to get through this crisis with fortitude and determination. Firstly, everyone must do nothing to fight this war. Just stay the *** out of it. Stay home. Stay in. Don't go out. That'll show everyone the strength of the British Bulldog spirit. Secondly, your government has strong plans to wreck the economy and ruin the country. This will be the result of our master plan that everyone does nothing for months. You won't have a home. You won't have any money. You won't have a job. You won't be able to afford decent meals. You won't be able to do anything because you don't have the means. You might just die because of all that, but the important thing is, you won't die of CV-19.
We shall never surrender!

the government has put in place many measures to stop this virus from spreading so far. It has asked people to self isolate and many or the majority are doing just that,
that monies have been provided to help small and medium sized businesses, that those on furlough get 80 percent of their wages paid.
This will all have to be paid for in the future but
for now i feel the government is doing the best it can do in this appalling climate

No it isn't. It should focus on the areas that are most affected; hospitals; care homes; ethinic minorities. A govt spokesman last week said that 91% of deaths involved people who had one, or a combination of, heart disease, dementia and diabetes.
People talk about this being similar to the war. Is it? If it is, when did anyone ever win a war by hiding from it? In wars, there will always be collateral damage. They're not doing it right, in my opinion. But hey ho. Most people seem to be happy with the fact that the economy and peoples' lives will be ruined. Onwards and upwards.
