Help needed on some clues from the CAM crossword - Bits and Pieces by Nimrod. It's one of those puzzles where the clues are in alphabetical order of the answers.

Around Germany's Red Zone, one implements gas charges (7) A??????

Scottish judge's new introduction to Nicene Creed (6) (this will begin with A, B, C, D or E)

Irish workhorse wanting to head north can set out from Reading? (6) (this will begin with G, H, I, J or K)

A couple of sessions drinking endless "fruit juice" in Ed's Bar (6) (this will begin with S or T)

That puzzle took an age to solve!!

GARRAN is right - remove 'can' = (tin) from NARRA(tin)G (and turn).

The setter appears to have made a mistake with the alphabetical ordering of the 2nd set of thematics.
The first one of the 3 starting with the letter S is out of place - it should be the last of the 3.
When a puzzle has been deliberately skewed to make it as difficult as possible, that's a bad oversight!

Thank you very much for your help Professor Maisie. It is disappointing that there's an error but it may explain why I am having trouble with the thematics beginning with S. Also having difficulty with some of the other thematics too. It seems an incredibly difficult crossword.

Yes, Marmozetti - I think it's designed to be particularly difficult. We're not given the answer lengths for the 4 long words, as they're all thematic (2 of each set) so we can't even focus on the clues that are essential to the grid fill. Not a lot of fun.
