We managed to buy a set of dog clippers, Argos finally had some in, and have just had a go with them.
He’s a cockapoo with a very thick curly coat which was getting seriously long. We did a trick the dog trainer told us about..a tube of squirty cream cheese held for him which he can lick continuously whilst being assaulted.
He was as good as gold and we’ve managed to do his back and sides this time, will try other areas over the next few days until he’s had a good trim all over.
Success!

We had another go yesterday and got a lot more hair off, he’s starting to look almost respectable. Trouble is, it’s the worst bits which still need attention...front legs, undercarriage and all his feet, he’s very sensitive about anyone touching his front legs or any of his feet.
