Whoopee ! We are entering Phase 1 on Monday. We can have gatherings of up to 10 people ( maintaining social distance and washing hands frequently ), restaurants and bars will open outside tables , terrazas as they are called here, but only 50% capacity, although the town halls are expanding their spaces, we can travel together in the same car, as long as we live together, we can attend funerals ( hope not applicable to my family ) and wakes. So BBQ on Monday at my daughters with all the family ( 10), we will go together in the same car , Mr Sam and I, maybe have an aperativo first in our local terraza, and that's it , ( I hope).

We are in Spain. Japan is doing well, so they say Wolf. Mr.Sam listens to their news all day, some idiots still go to the Izakayas, but his family are working from home etc. Personally, I don't believe their figures, but don't tell Mr. Sam. Some 800-900 deaths total.Due to their Constitution ( thanks to McArthur after the war ) they cannot order everyone to a lockdown, just request it. But the streets do look empty. We were looking at Shibuya Crossing live and it is empty. Their health system is second to none, so no problems there.

We live in Girona, just short of 20 years now, though my other half is on Sark - she fell ill there and had to self-isolate when lockdown began.

I have just heard we are going into phase 1 on Monday too. In normal circumstances I hike a bit in the countryside most mornings so looking forward to getting back out there after eight weeks.

Does this apply to Barcelona too, and all of Spain?

About 70% of Spain will be in phase 1 on Monday. Madrid, Barcelona and a few other area will remain in phase 0 a bit longer, but with fewer restrictions - sort of phase 0.5.
