This isn't strictly a competition and it isn't a question so I didn't know where to post it. So if you feel that it is in the wrong place then ~ tough!

This is from the Your Cat magazine.

~~~~ For a chance to win one of three £50 Amazon vouchers, and your story published in Your Cat magazine, simply tell us the best story about your cat!
There are three categories:
1) BEST CAT COMFORT STORY
Has your cat been your best friend during a difficult time, or maybe he helped nurse you back to health after an illness?
2) FUNNIEST CAT STORY
Is your cat a real character? What's the funniest thing he's ever done?
3) STRANGEST CAT STORY
This could be anything from a spooky experience to a missing cat who was found years later.
HOW TO ENTER
Send your cat tale to [email protected]. Entries must be between 400 and 500 words and fit within one of the above categories. You must live in the UK and your entry must be your own work and a true story.
Good link wolf :-)
I don't think my cat story would win, so I'll put it on here instead.
Take one 'Gibbs' the cat, add a magnetic cat-flap collar, and what do you get?
When you see it.. (and yes, he knows he shouldn't be on the kitchen unit) :-)
I just wish that gold was magnetic..
Maybe he should try for the rest of the cutlery set. He is handsome - Frankie is just a big kitten but his sister Merlin is one mean bitch of a cat.
I am off to read on my kindle, snuggled under the duvet. I have to get Frankie off the duvet first. He growled at me the other day, not like his sister growls, his growl was quite sweet.
Oh what a gorgeous puddy tat you have Peaspeculiars ! I adore long haired cats especially, thank you for posting your pic.
lol, he was so confused as to why we were laughing so much!
Gibbs is the relaxed one and the older and grumpier girly 'pickle' likes to show him who's boss and she will growl only if she gets bored of being groomed. I swear Gibbs has Norwegian forest genes in there somewhere as he's huge and still growing..
Hope you have a lovely evening tucked in with yer kindle :-)
Thanks Purple_P, Here's a piccy of the other one 'Pickle' (Branston pickle coloured) again, a long haired scruffbag...
:-)
When I moved to this house nearly three years ago I swore I would have nothing that needed looking after......an easy garden and NO more pets. We'd had a huge garden, cats and ran a little cattery.
Then Tilly posted something that set me on the hunt for a greenhouse to grow plants for the garden I wasn't going to have.....
Now I have seen Peaspeculiar's cat and guess what?????
You're getting a dog, gness?
No! No! No!...I am getting nothing....nothing I tell you....☺
Go on Gness, you know you want to... Who else would eat all of your plants in the greenhouse? xx
Pickle was a tiny kitten found dumped and poisoned when we found her, and Gibbs was dumped by a drug addict and was in a bad way when we found him. We have had four cats over the years, all dumped and we just could not be without felines around now.
Go on, you know you want to... :-)
You must have some cat tales from your cattery days, gness.
Noooooo! My last two...T.S. and Eliot were rescues...lovely cats...☺
I do, Tilly....will reveal some in time...☺
I'd rather have a shaggy dog story really.
Gness...
Lol, alright, I'll stop pestering you to get a cat :-)
My first weekend job was in a cattery (/kennels/goats/chickens/etc, etc) and I loved it. I got paid £1.20 an hour to work with animals all day fab! (it was quite a few years ago)
Stooooppppppp, Peas!!!!!!
Sorry .... :-)
Question Author
aren't they all beautiful, i cried when my cat died, i am sure i couldn't have another. He went missing for three months, came back flea ridden, bitten, scabby and in a general mess. I took him to the vets who patched him up,
and had him done, so he didn't roam quite so far.
