I had a Waitrose online shopping order for Saturday and I have just rang up to cancel it.

Someone is going to be very happy. :-)

They are aren’t they?
Where do you get your shopping from Tilly, if I remember rightly you did click and collect from sainsburys once, are you still doing that?
Question Author
I did another click and collect from Sainsburys today, Vagus. That's why I cancelled the Waitrose order. We didn't need it.

I tend to shop at both Waitrose and Sainsburys and If i spot an empty slot I grab it. I need to curtail my slot searches. :-)
I drove to Waitrose to shop this morning and came home to find a bottle of wine had broken in the boot. I may have to hang the car on the washing line till the bouquet of cheap chenin blanc fades aaway.

What a waste of wine, using it as a car smelly!
I go on sainsburys website about 3.15pm every Tuesday since we managed to register with them about three weeks ago and have had no trouble getting a slot for the following Tuesday, which is great and has taken all the anxiety out of our shopping.
Someone’s going to be a very happy person with your cancelled slot Tilly :)
don't rub it in (so to speak).
Question Author
I have just checked and the slot has already been nabbed. :-)

Did you go back for another bottle, Jno?
no, fortunately all the chardonnay was unharmed so we will make do with that. But obviously I should have bought a more robust pinot noir.
I drove to Waitrose this afternoon. I drove away again as there was a large queue.
I’ve just managed to get my first delivery since this all kicked off (I usually have two a week), I’m well chuffed but I’m so giddy with excitement I can’t think what I need.
Aarrgghh...I want, want, want a Sainsbury's slot. But there is nothing available...same for Tescos. But, I could get Iceland for tomorrow. If I wanted to.
There's always Co-op or M and S via deliveroo.
ive done the deliveroo route a couple of times, but the delivery charge is high for what was a relatively small amount of shopping
They are offering free delivery here at the moment. I've never ordered with them, but I'm going to have a look again tomorrow morning to see what bits I can get.
Question Author
The M&S delivery, through Deliveroo, is free.
Lol. I'm the same ,sherr... usually only get online deliveries, but have managed to finally get one for this Saturday. Is going to cost about £1k at this rate :-)
I drove to Waitrose at 8.10 a.m yesterday and there was no queue! Went to Suffolk today (as now allowed ) and 5 food outlets - no queue at any of them. Brilliant.
