Thursday. I'm a bit late this morning. A nice long dreamless sleep, well, no dreams I can remember anyway. The sky was clear half an hour ago, it's clouded over now.
Nothing on the calendar for today, so if it doesn't rain I might clean those windows.

yes, very pleasant, slightly younger than me. Husband worked for the pastie bakers down here, Rowes.....my suspicion on the executive side.

Proper job pasties. Vera and I always indulged when we were down there. Always brought some home too.

She had to have a load of skin grafts for the lower legs - and it's those that have caused the pain - difficult to sleep to begin with - she's got one large scar showing on her upper right shin above the plaster - it's amazing how quickly that it has healed, now 7 weeks. The question is how much mobility she will regain.....but she has the right, determined, attitude and it's not going to beat her....she was an extensive hiker before. The 'joke' was that she was standing on-line at the shop in a high-viz jacket!
