I thought if a million popped into your account it cd automatically be popped out again. - problem is - - if you think it is yours and relied on it and then gone overdrawn.....
but be prepared for - under certain circumstances we can do this you know
(oh, a firm ceased trading insolvent at 15 00 and the electronic pay was sent out 1600 (hur hur hur) and completely unsurprisingly it was clawed back as a void payment)

When was it due to be paid?
We had ours withdrawn once like this but the employer told us/emailed us to explain that there had been a mistake in the run, and the correct amount was paid either the same day or next day- can't remember now. It's probably easier than having to make adjustments in the form of extra payments or asking people to refund it.
There was another time they did overpay- they included one pay element twice- and asked us to refund it (but that can be problematic if people refuse and if they are casual staff so no guarantee of pay next month to claw it back from)
