howondaland is not a country as such. it just stands for 'some exotic country far far away'. it's one of those terry pratchett things....
Who's terry pratchett ?
Question Author
Author of some of the funniest stuff written by man so far, creator of discworld and therefore a god
Not a German then ?
You've not heard of Terry Pratchett? wash your mouth out and get down the bookshop. meanwhile this link will explain a bit. http://www.discworldmonthly.co.uk/

And if they manage to talk you into actually buying something down there: My favioret (I KNOW ITS Favourite!) line is the night watch thingy. starting with Guards Guards! i think, then its Men at Arms or Feet of clay and after that it doesn't really matter what you read next. Night Watch, Monstrous Regiment,..... it's all brilliant!
I agree , I'm nearly finished Hat Full Of Sky and can't wait for Going Postal. My favourite is Small Gods although Men at Arms is a close second. Got them all in Hardback except for Eric. Proving elusive ;)
