y sister is on Warfarin and has to have regular blood test She always went to local hospital and had the blood taken from a vein. However recently she has had to go to GP for the test which is done through a finger prick and results are immediate. However since having it done this way her INR has dropped although her diet has remained the same, she is blaming it on the new way of testing. Anybody else in the same situation

A quick bit of googling finds several relevant research results, all of which seem to suggest that fingerprick sampling for INR tests is just as accurate as conventional path lab testing. e.g. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15315540/

As fzr6as I am aware the INR test has nothing to do with dieting and is donee by a finger prick tests and I have no idea why the hospital would take venous blood, unless clotting factors are not the only issue
No I am not taking anticoagulants.
