The Bill

Are anyone else getting very fed up and offended by the constant way the indigenous population of this country are portrayed by scrip writers on TV. On last weeks "Bill" the story line was of a group of right wing thugs who put a bag over the head of a Muslim, stuffed him in the boot of their car and then took him to a field and beat the hell out of him. This just does not happen in the real world and if it did we would soon be made aware of it. (please do not mention the Stephen Lawrence case, because there are also many cases where racists attacks have been made on whites), but they don't get such high profile coverage. These scipt writers would not dare write a similar script from this opposite angle. I was so offended that I switched off.

i bet it does happen. to both races not jus blacks and not just whites. most ppl these days are doo-lally1 and if they have a grudge/difference of opinion/etc they we just fight for no reason. not that long ago near were im from a guy was stuffed in a boot (dont kno bout a bag over head) and taken to some woods a beaten jus because he had a car which some1 didnt beleive he owned they also burnt his car for NO reason at all. these things happen but they mostly just go unhead of

I think the indigenous population of Britain were all either killed of centurys ago or intermarried with the many,many groups of invaders (Vikings,Normans,etc) who came to these shores.
Besides which,and I say this as a white british person, racists should be shown as the lowlife scum that they are whatever their race.

Although I can't think of anyone in my circle of friends who would put a Muslim in the boot of a car, take him to a field and beat him up... I do know a fair few who "aren't racist but..." and then come out with the most incredible right-wing rubbish.
Unfortunately there are a lot of violent racist twerps around, usually simpletons who are a bit thick and stupid I'll admit , but the fact that they're about is why the story was "acceptable". (I accept that the Bill's writing and scripts are often cr*p but that's another subject.) We've all heard the no-necks on the bus talking loudly, making abusive remarks and comments. So, they do exist.

BTW because there are attacks on white people by Asians and blacks, does that mean that it's acceptable to attack black people and muslims? Can't see the logic in that one.
