WHAT IS AN ENGLISHMAN CALLED ??
So many years ago now since i left WALES to become a soldier in H.M. Forces.... up to england i went.... now us WELSH were called "TAFFY ".... THE SCOTTISH boys " JOCK "....... the IRISH lads, "PADDY "... but for the love of money, i CANNOT remember what 'COLLECTIVELY ' the ENGLISH chaps were called ! "SHUT UP BLODWEN ! stop muttering under your breath!! NO! i can't write that down mun, STOP swearing !!... they wouldn't print it anyway !! go an' put the kettle on,an' let me finish this, ...... sorry about that folks, where was i ? oh yes, i can remember the 'SCOUCERS ', FANTASTIC mates, and the GEORDIES too, ... but what about the rest of the ENGLISH fella's ? i just cannot remember, oh no, no, no! it was NOT sir !! someone out there, perhaps another CELT, will remember, and tell me ?? quiet Blodwen, an'iv'e told you not to swear !!! get 'em chickens an' sheep out of the front room !!! told you 'bout that before !!!! C'mon 'TAFFY, JOCK,OR PADDY, What did we call our ENGLISH , SOLDIER brothers ??

They all took it in good spirit(there were a fair few) and had joined as a result of their grandfathers or other relatives who had served with the regiment, so they were particularly admired for it.
