lone parents getting back to work
Hi, I have been out of the work place for a number of years being a lone parent of 4. I have been looking for part time work (16 hrs or more) working tax credit etc.. But now is a chance that I have a full time job of 40 hours a week. Dare not turn the opportunity down as I really need/want to work. But not sure if I can cope with it. Plus my youngest 2 will be changing school in September to a local school. So that is worrying me.
Just need some reassurance that I am doing the right thing.

It will do you good to have an outside interest. I used work as my social life. I have a very demanding 29 year old with epilepsy, not a child but not an adult either. My husband has always worked long distance, so Iv`e often felt like a one parent family. Last year I worked 14 hour days, five days aweek, not bad for a 58 year old. Go for it.
