God
When oop north we used to put a spoonful of tea leaves into a mug, pour on boiling water, add milk and sup. But only so far down, or you got a mouthful of tea leaves.
I put a tea bag in a mug, pour in boiling water, add milk & sugar and I don't take out the tea bag.

That's got to be a wind-up - and no wonder she put so much sugar in.
MELV, you get the full flavour from the bag, seems logical to me.
