In device manager, no mention of the phone. I have a "usb data cable" recognised tho. Ive checked the properties on this and it appears to be working correctly. As does the root hub.
Also under "other devices" i have a pci modem!?!?!? I havent a clue what this is. Clicking on properties shows the device not to be working. Hope this helps.

The modem could be your phone, do you have a modem in your PC? If so, can you see a modem under Modems? If so, then the other one is your phone, so 1/ it shows you do have a connection & 2/ you haven't got the correct driver.
You can reload the driver by deleting the object in Device Manager, then restarting the PC. But if you don't actually have the right driver available, this won't achieve much.
Have you downloaded the phone support files from the manufacturer?
