Anybody Find This Concerning?
It's a link from the Daily Moan, so many, no doubt, will dismiss it out of hand, but for those that don't, and assuming the story is as reported, a radio presenter of 20 years has been suspended for having the bare-faced temerity to defend an allegation of 'white privilege' (whatever that means).

Similar thing happened here in Wales. Martin Simpson chief reporter at the Western Mail has been asked to step down from judging the Wales Book of the Year competition and reprimanded because he asserted that it was both pointless to demonstrate in Cardiff about police brutality in Minneapolis, and liable to spread the pandemic at a critical time. Mind how you go. Everything is policed except crime.

It seems we are losing the capacity to understand the difference between someone saying something that the majority do not agree with, and their inherent right to say it under the rules of Free Speech.
If we start removing people from public access because they express and opinion, then we remove the rights of people to say what they think, right or wrong.
The only way to adjust wrong thinking is to discuss it openly, and try and make the wrong thinker see why they are wrong.
To simply remove the wrong thinker's right to expression because some other individuals disagree with his or her viewpoint is fundamentally fascist and has no place in a civilised society.

I think the expression 'white privileged' is a hand grenade of a phrase, it has connotations which are uncomfortable.
I think, in the true sense of the word, I am absolutely 'white privileged' - I have grown up in a society where I am able to take freedoms for granted on the basis of the colour of my skin.
The important fact to bear in mind is that I was born into this situation, I did not create it, I have not exploited other people to make my life this way, and there is absolutely no justification in blaming me for it.

Is the privilege not being black? Or that you have extra privileges for being white?
If you secede to the demands of BLM and admit your white privilege, you have admitted you have white privilege and are inherently racist. If you do not admit there is white privilege you are using your white privilege and are inherently racist.
Only BLM wins regardless of the answer.
With so many people admitting to white privilege and their racist nature to appease the minority there will be little in the way of real progress because basically if you give in to a tantrum it is both not good enough and a rod for your own back.
As any good parent knows you do not reward bad behaviour.
Calm the child and then talk.
As it is the nation, and apparently a good part of the rest of the world, is having a tantrum. Nothing should be agreed until calm is restored.
But that isn’t going to happen when appeasement and virtue signalling politics holds court.

//there is no such thing as 'white privilege' ....its white success and blacks and all the whites on the black guilt trip hate it.....//
This was racist (and I believe removed) last time you said it, and it's no less racist now.
White privilege isn't something that is sought out by white people, it's just a result of societal colour bias.
If you have ever been given an opportunity that you wouldn't have got had you been black: White privilege.
If you feel safe leaving the house. Going to the pub? Going to a football match?: White priviledge.
People think you've earned your job title through hard work, not by filling a diversity quota: White privilege.
White privilege isn't about being treated favourably for being white, it's about not having to be put up with what most black folk have had to. Anyone who disbelieves that white privilege exists, has clearly never encountered those discriminations.
