How Long Will It Take?

A new friend sent me an email last night but it hasn't arrived. I've looked in my junk folder and it isn't there, so I think perhaps she didn't get it quite right, perhaps put in a dot where there isn't one. How long would it take before she gets it back as undelivered? Thanks.

Almost immediately, but if the address she sent it to exists then it will have been delivered there so it won’t show up as undelivered.

usually straight away for mine. However, it depends on how your email is set up. For example I used to be with plusnet. my email domain was @lalaland.plus.com (or something like that) and I had "[email protected]" and my husband had "[email protected]". When I went into my email I went directly to the bednobs box, and he went directly to the Mr bednobs box. However if someone had sent an email to "[email protected]" it would go yo the main box we never accessed, so we'd never know and the sender would never know

Depends. In my experience sometimes ages as it makes multiple tries to deliver.

It must have gone back to her as she has since emailed to say she made a mistake with my email address. Probably put a dot where there isn't one. Still,all sorted now.
