We were kept waiting until our departure date by cottages.com, but, fair enough they then started talking and we received a full refund. With my half of it I've just bought a couple of Owen Bowen paintings (I collect him when I have any spare cash and right now galleries are taking offers) they should arrive next week, so it feels like a fair swap for a holiday. Good luck!
Since telling friends and family about our cancelled flights I have been getting some mixed reactions,
From are you sure?
Don’t understand it,
Check again you maybe got it wrong,
I have now read that Tui have doubled their fares for next year bookings for anyone accepting vouchers for cancelled flights,
Maybe Ryanair have something similar in mind.

that's just the law of supply and demand. if there are fewer flights, and aircraft are required to carry fewer passengers, then those seats that are available are going to be more expensive. how could they not be? airlines are businesses and must make money to survive.
